Weanlings Top Keeneland Session

Weanlings sired by Cape Town and Distorted Humor were each sold for $110,000 to top Tuesday's session of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. The Cape Town colt, produced from the Sunny's Halo mare Sunday Morning, was purchased by Walnut Green Bloodstock from the consignment of Lakland LLC, agent.
The Distorted Humor filly, bought by agent Ben Glass from the consignment of Dennis Alquist's Tsa-La-Gi Inc., was produced from At Breakneck Speed, a Golden Act mare who is a half-sister to grade I-placed Clever Pilot.
Keeneland reported 246 horses were sold Tuesday for a total of $5,160,400 and an average price of $20,977. Through the first 10 sessions of the sale, Keeneland has sold 2,364 horses for a total of $292,599,100. The cumulative average price is $123,773 and the median stands at $42,000.
