Multiple stakes winner Changeintheweather will enter stud at Josephine Abercrombie's Pin Oak Stud near Versailles, Ky. The 4-year-old Pin Oak homebred will run next in the Fayette Stakes (gr. III) at Keeneland.
A son of Gone West, Changeintheweather won the Grey Breeders' Cup Stakes (Can-I) at Woodbine as a 2-year-old and finished second in Sovereign Award balloting. This year, he won the Gate Dancer Stakes at Delaware Park and placed in four stakes, including the William Donald Schaefer (gr. III), Baltimore Breeders' Cup (gr. III), and Dominion Day (Can-III) Handicaps. He has won five of 14 starts and earned $428,962 while trained first by David Bell, then Graham Motion.
Changeintheweather's dam, Meteor Colony (by Pleasant Colony), is a full sister to Eclipse Award winner Pleasant Stage and to two graded stakes winners. A fee will be announced later.
