Grade II Winner Crafty C. T. to Contemporary in New York

Grade II winner Crafty C. T., third in last year's Napa Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I) by only a length, has been retired from racing and will enter stud at Gus Schoenborn Jr.'s Contemporary Stallions near Coxsackie, N.Y.
Bred by Richard Kaster in partnership, 5-year-old Crafty C. T. raced for C.T. Grether, winning four of 18 races and earning $832,652 while trained by Howard Zucker. Crafty C. T. took the San Rafael Stakes (gr. II) in only his third start, and went on to place in such top events as the Santa Anita Derby (gr. I), Ancient Title Breeders' Cup (gr. I), San Carlos (gr. I), Metropolitan (gr. I), and Cigar Mile (gr. I) Handicaps in addition to the Sprint.
Crafty C. T. (Crafty Prospector -- Andriana B., by Far North) will stand as the property of a partnership. His fee will be announced later.
