Grade II winner Decarchy, a half-brother to Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winner Empire Maker, has been purchased by Dennis Narlinger and Magali Farms from Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms for stallion duty at Magali near Santa Ynez, Calif., according to
Daily Racing Form. But first, the new owners plan to run him in the Oct. 25 NetJets Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT) and have transferred him from Bobby Frankel's barn to trainer Doug O'Neill.
Six-year-old Decarchy, bred by Juddmonte, is winless this year, but has two graded stakes-placings. He finished second in the Eddie Read Handicap (gr. IT) and third in the Frank E. Kilroe Mile Handicap (gr. IIT). Overall, the son of Distant View has won six of 18 races and earned $703,862. He won last year's Kilroe Mile and the Tanforan Handicap (gr. IIIT).
Decarchy, who was produced from Kentucky Broodmare of the Year Toussaud (by El Gran Senor), also is a half-brother to grade I winners Chester House, Honest Lady, and Chiselling. Decarchy's fee is $5,000.
