(Edited Keeneland release)

Buckram Oak Farm's Lane's End Futurity (gr. II) winner Eurosilver will be rested for a spring campaign and Phoenix Breeders' Cup (gr. III) winner Najran will be retired to the breeding shed trainer Nick Zito said Thursday.

The status of the two stakes winners was discussed at a meeting of Buckram Oak Farm owner Monsour Fustock, stable advisor Mohammed Moubarak and trainer Nick Zito on Wednesday evening in Lexington.

"Eurosilver walked on Sunday and Monday," Zito reported. "We hacked him a little bit Wednesday morning and I noticed a bit of a shin. I had Dr. (Mark) Cheney x-ray him and the shin was clean but the x-ray showed some...a bucked shin."

As for Najran, Zito said: "We were very pleased with Najran's victory in the Phoenix. The decision was made to retire him on a happy note. We are entertaining offers from several farms in Kentucky. We will try to find the best spot possible for him."
