(Edited Woodbine press release)

Gus Schickedanz's 2003 Canadian Triple Crown winner, Wando, will not race again this year, trainer Mike Keogh today said Thursday.

"He was obviously great this season, just tremendous, but he's had enoughv for this year," Keogh said. "I'll take him south with me for the winter and bring him back next year."

Wando won five of eight starts this year and earned just over $2 million. Keogh was considering running the son of Langfuhr in the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships at Santa Anita Park Oct. 25.
