Successful stallion You and I, sire of millionaire You, will stand in 2004 at Ron and Fran Stolich's Blooming Hills near Clements, Calif., for a fee of $6,500. The 12-year-old son of Kris S. out of the Ups mare La Chaposa formerly stood at Brereton C. Jones' Airdrie Stud near Midway, Ky.
You, a top filly all three years she has raced, won four grade I stakes as a 3-year-old in 2002 to go along with a grade I triumph as a 2-year-old. This year, she has won two grade II stakes.
You and I, whose big win came in the 1995 Metropolitan Handicap (gr. I), has sired a total of 14 stakes winners, including this year's 2-year-old Harvard Avenue. You and I's 2004 fee has been reduced from his $10,000 fee for the 2003 breeding season.
