Travers Stakes (gr. I) and Super Derby (gr. II) winner Ten Most Wanted continued to advance toward a probable start in the Oct. 25 Breeders' Cup Classic - Powered by Dodge (gr. I) on Monday with a half-mile work in :47 4/5 over a fast main track at Hollywood Park.

Regular rider Bruno Delgadillo was in the irons for the work, which was the third-fastest at the distance.

"It was perfect," trainer Wally Dollase said. "I caught him in :48 and the clockers caught him in :47 and four so it was just right."

Ten Most Wanted's path to the Breeders' Cup has mirrored that of his sire, Deputy Commander, who was second in the Swaps Stakes (gr. II) before winning the Travers (gr. I) and Super Derby (then a grade I). Deputy Commander then finished second behind Skip Away in the 1997 Classic.

"(Ten Most Wanted) is really doing very well right now," Dollase said. "No problems at all. He'll work every six or seven days or so leading up to the race."
