Keeneland Joins Race For Education "Keeneland continues to demonstrate a commitment to not only supporting our industry but improving it at all levels. This is a great gesture of support for The Race For Education and we look forward to a great partnership," said Duncan Taylor, president of Taylor Made Farm.Fran Taylor, Keeneland Foundation executive director, said that the match is in keeping with Keeneland's longstanding philosophy to give back to the community and industry. "Keeneland has been supporting educational and community initiatives since we opened in 1936. The Race for Education matching funds program gives owners a terrific incentive to participate and double the impact of their donation. It is a win-win for everyone, especially the student recipients." In the past year more than 400 horses have been nominated to The Race For Education, with donations ranging from one to 10% of the horses' earnings. The program receives the support and cooperation of nearly every racetrack in North America. |
