Churchill Downs Simulcast Network will offer wagering on the Oct. 5 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe Lucien Barriere (Fr-I) through its Chicago-area racetrack, Arlington Park. Arlington will again serve as the North and South American and Caribbean simulcast wagering hub on the Arc and five undercard stakes races from Longchamp Racecourse in Paris, France. Scheduled post time for the Arc is 11:30 a.m. EDT. CDSN will offer wagering on four group I races preceding the Arc - the Prix de l'Abbaye, Prix de l'Opera, Prix Marcel Boussac and Grand Criterium - as well as the Prix du Grand Hotel Barrière, which follows the feature race. Win, place, show, exacta and trifecta wagering will be offered on all six French races. A Pick 3 wager will also be offered on the Prix Marcel Boussac.Advance past performances for horses entered in the six international races are scheduled to be available in the Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 editions of the Daily Racing Form and available through Equibase-affiliated partners.The Arc is contested at the classic distance of 1 1/2-miles on the turf and is part of the 12-race international World Series Racing Championship. Arlington's marquee race, the Arlington Million (gr. I), is also part of the series, as are the grade I Breeders' Cup Classic and Turf races held as part of the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships.European equine stars nominated to the Arc include High Chaparral, winner of last year's Breeders' Cup Turf; Dalakhani the early favorite for the Arc who has lost only once in eight starts; Ange Gabriel, recent winner of the group II Prix Foy; and the impressive fillies Islington and Bright Sky who are both pointing towards Breeders' Cup races in October.
