Candy Ride, will not race again this year.
Trainer Ron McAnally said Monday that Sid and Jenny Craig's Candy Ride is definitely out of the Breeders' Cup Classic - Powered by Dodge (gr. I), and will not race again this year.

"It was all my decision," McAnally said. "The Craigs left it up to me. I felt he needed a rest. Even though he's run only six times in his career he's still never had any break. And he just turned 4 this month. I just felt this was best for the horse. We've already pulled his shoes off and we'll let him relax for six or seven weeks."

Candy Ride, bred in Argentina, is undefeated, having won all three of his starts in America, including a stunning victory over Medaglia d'Oro in the Pacific Classic.
