Edited from a TVG release
TVG announced today that its television network is available on Cox Communications digital cable television service in the Southern California communities of Santa Barbara and Bakersfield starting today. Previously, Cox Communications launched TVG on its San Diego and Orange County systems as well as Gainesville and Ocala, Fla.
"Our relationship with Cox Communications continues to be a key aspect of the growth and momentum that we have seen in television distribution this year," said Mark Wilson, president and CEO of TVG. "With Santa Barbara and Bakersfield, we have an opportunity to reach out to racing fans that do not live near racetracks, which benefits our racetrack partners and their horsemen."
Having added over 2.5 million homes this year, TVG is now available via cable in approximately 12 million homes. In addition, its daily simulcast on Fox Sports Net reached 5 million households in California. TVG is available on cable systems in California, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Louisiana, and Oregon and nationally via satellite on Dish Network and DirecTV.
TVG network programming features live horse racing from America's premier racetracks with commentary, interviews with the stars of the sport, in-depth race analysis, handicapping/wagering tutorials and originally produced programming for racing's major events.
