Darley Stud Management's promising 2-year-old filly Tizdubai will be sidelined for the remainder of the year after suffering a condylar fracture of the right front ankle.

A full-sister to Tiznow and Budroyale, the daughter of Cee's Tizzy was purchased by Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Stud as a weanling at the 2001 Keeneland November mixed sale for $950,000.

In her only two starts this year, Tizdubai broke her maiden at Hollywood Park before winning the grade II Sorrento Stakes at Del Mar by four lengths.

"She came back from the track the other day and looked to have a little filling in her ankle," trainer Eoin Harty said. "I thought it might be nothing more than a wrenched ankle, but I decided to take X-rays and thank God I did, or she might have run on it. She was the kind of filly who comes along very rarely. Sometimes, there is no justice.

"She should come back next year, but the chances of me ever training her again are slim and none. I'm sure she'll go with the main operation."

Harty had been hoping to get Tizdubai to the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I), a race he won in 2001 with Godolphin's Tempera, with stablemate Imperial Gesture finishing second.
