Tickets are still available for the Thoroughbred Owners' and Breeders' Association's national awards dinner, this Friday, Sept. 5. The event honors breeders from 26 states and Thoroughbred owners from four regions of the U.S. The event will be held at Walmac International, near Lexington. Michelle Phillips, of the sixties folk-group The Mamas And The Papas, will present The Greatest Game, Inc.'s New Owner of the Year award to Mr. Bill Hayes of Kansas City, Mo. Grammy Award winner Sawyer Brown will provide entertainment for the evening. The emcee for the event will be Frank Mirahmadi, track announcer for Harrah's Louisiana Downs, and voice of the "Santa Anita Track Announcer," in the movie Seabiscuit where he calls the 1937 and 1940 Santa Anita Handicaps. Arlington Park's 2003 season continues through Saturday, Sept. 27 each Wednesday through Sunday. First post time for all other days except Fridays will remain at 1 p.m.
