Whitmore's Conn, winner of the Sword Dancer (gr. IT) and Bowling Green (gr. II) Handicaps this year has been sidelined for an indefinite period, trainer Randy Schulhofer said.
Schulhofer would not disclose the nature of the horse's ailment or injury, but acknowledged that the 5-year-old son of Kris S. has been taken out of training.
The New York-bred Whitmore's Conn came from far back to win the Sword Dancer and Bowling Green, before running poorly in the Man o'War Stakes (gr. IT). He also captured the Bowling Green last year. He has made 27 starts in his career, winning seven, for earnings $740,426.
