Unbridled's Song Colt Tops Keeneland Session; Prices Still Strong Unbridled's Song is the sire Breeders' Cup Distaff (gr. I) winner Unbridled Elaine.Gross sales, average and median showed large increases over the corresponding session a year ago. Keeneland sold 274 horses Saturday for $20,694,500. The average was $75,527 and the median $50,000. During the comparable session in 2002, gross sales totaled $15,093,500 for 276 horses. The average was $54,687 and the median was $40,000.Through five days of the 12-day auction, Keeneland has sold 1,130 horses for $218,918,000, topping the gross sales ($210.8 million) for the entire 2002 September Sale. This year's average, $193,733, is up 35.5% from a year ago and the median, $100,000, shows a 17.6% increase.At this point in the 2002 sale, 1,155 horses had been sold for $165,137,500, an average of $142,976 and a median of $85,000.
