Juddmonte Farms' Empire Maker turned in a sharp 6-furlong work in 1:12 3/5 Saturday, and definitely will run in next Saturday's Jockey Club Gold Cup (gr. I), trainer Bobby Frankel confirmed.The Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winner had jockey Aaron Gryder aboard, and worked in company with Epicentre."It was a very good work," Frankel said. "They got him the first quarter in :25 and the last quarter in :23 1/5, and he was just galloping. He did it very easily."Empire Maker is expected to face older horses Mineshaft and Moon Ballad in the Gold Cup.Frankel also worked his Vosburgh (gr. I) hopeful, Ghostzapper, who drilled 5 furlongs in :59 flat. Represeting Frankel in the Flower Bowl (gr. IT) will be Heat Haze, winner of the Beverly D (gr. IT) in her last start. Frankel will keep Tates Creek in California to point for the Yellow Ribbon (gr. IT).
