Pilsudski and Tikkanen, a pair of Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT) winners in the 1990s who were sent to Japan for stallion duty, will be testing their siring skills on the Irish mainland. Eleven-year-old Pilsudski (Polish Precedent -- Cocotte, by Troy) will stand at the Irish National Stud in County Kildare in Ireland. He stood at Shizunai Stallion Station in Japan, but has yet to sire a stakes winner.
Tikkanen, a 12-year-old son of Cozzene out of the Targowice mare Reiko, will hold court at Jeremy's Maxwell's The Glebe House stud near Downpatrick in Northern Ireland. His lone stakes winner is Japanese group winner Success Strain. He stood at Arrow Stud in Japan.
