Janice Jones, Wife of Walmac Owner, Dies

Janice Jones, whose husband John T.L. Jones Jr., owns Walmac International near Lexington, died Sept. 7. She was 67.
Born and raised in Oklahoma, Jones met her husband at Abilene Christian College in Texas. The couple moved to Lexington in 1977. Walmac recently hosted the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association awards banquet.
Jones was a member of the Central Kentucky Women's Club and a board member of both the Lexington Ballet and UK Children's Hospital Miracle Network Foundation. In addition to her husband, her survivors include sons John III, Hutton, and Levi, and a daughter, Julie.
Visitation will be today, Sept. 9, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington. Donations may be made to the Janice Nash Jones Scholarship Fund, Abilene Christian University, ACU Box 29132, Abilene, Texas 79699.
