Beautiful Pleasure continued on course for the Hempstead Handicap (gr. I) at Belmont Park June 24, working six furlongs Friday at that track. Beautiful Pleasure, who won the Shuvee Handicap (gr. II) in her last start, completed the drill in 1:13 1/5, handily, in the fastest of five works at the distance.

"She came out of the work just fine," said trainer John Ward Jr. ""It was more like an open gallop."

Jorge Chavez will have the mount on the Eclipse winner in the Hempstead. Biogio's Rose and Roza Robata are also probable for the Hempstead, with Nikita, Orange Sunset, Pentatonic, and Sazarac Jazz listed as possible by the New York Racing Association.
