Prominent International Sire Grand Lodge Injured

Grand Lodge, sire of such European standouts as champions Grandera and Sinndar, will undergo surgery at Scone Veterinary Clinic after injuring a knee in a paddock accident at Woodlands Stud in New South Wales, Australia. A son of champion Chief's Crown out of the Habitat mare La Papagena, Grand Lodge is represented by 35 stakes winners, including 11 in 2003. This year's group includes Australian group I winners Ambulance and Freemason. Grand Lodge's fee is A$38,500. He stood the Northern Hemisphere season at Coolmore Stud in Ireland.
