Fair Grounds International Ventures, a subsidiary of Fair Grounds Race Course, has been appointed as the North American agent for the Dubai International Racing Carnival, a 10-day meet at Nad al Sheba Race Course that is highlighted by the $6 million Dubai World Cup (UAE-I) on March 27.
FGIV will arrange simulcast outlets throughout North America who wish to offer the Carnival to their customers. North American wagers will be commingled with those from Great Britain and South Africa, ensuring larger wagering pools.
The Dubai International Racing Carnival begins Jan. 29 and features action on Thursdays and Saturdays. The Carnival includes races worth $21 million, capped by a $15 million card on Dubai World Cup day.
First post each day is 9:30 a.m. CST, and cards include either five or six Thoroughbred races.
For more information, or to carry the simulcast, contact Ed Fenasci, director of business development for Fair Grounds, at (504) 948 1268.
