Tracking the pacesetter closely from the start, Khalid Abdulla's Deportivo proved a convincing winner of the Big Shuffle Flying Five (Ire-II) over five furlongs at The Curragh Sunday.
The 3-year-old Night Shift colt, ridden by Richard Hughes for trainer Roger Charlton, went to the lead less than two furlongs from the finish and kept on well to tally a 1 1/2-length win over Daganya as the 11-10 choice. Cool Cousin, who like Daganya closed from the back of the field, got up for third. The final time on good to firm going was :57.7.
Juddmonte Farms bred the winner, who is out of the Kenmare mare Valencia, in Great Britain.
