Kentucky-bred juvenile filly Carry on Katie remained perfect in two career starts and earned her first group stakes win in the Peugeot Lowther Stakes (Eng-II) at York Thursday.
Jockey Frankie Dettori rode Carry on Katie to a two-length victory over Badminton in the about six-furlong contest. Dunloskin finished another length back in third.
Carry on Katie won her debut at Ascot July 25 for Lucayan Stud but carried the colors of Sheikh Mohammed in the Lowther. She completed the race over good to firm going in 1:10.67 for trainer Jeremy Noseda.
Bred by Swordlestown Stud, Carry on Katie is from the first crop of the Nureyev stallion Fasliyev out of the Woodman mare Dinka Raja. She was purchased from the Swordlestown consignment by Dwayne Woods for $98,470 at the 2002 Deauville August yearling sale.
