Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens was released from Northwest Community Hospital this morning in good condition around 10:30 a.m., according to a release from Arlington Park.
Stevens was injured Saturday during the Arlington Million (gr. IT) at Arlington Park and suffered a fracture of his C-5 vertebra and collapsed lung. Stevens was thrown from his mount, Storming Home, just after crossing the wire.
The jockey-turned-actor is expected to miss about one month of racing.
