Canterbury Trainer Rhone Saddles 6 Winners

(from Canterbury Park report)Canterbury Park Hall of Fame trainer Bernell Rhone saddled six winners on Thursday night's card, a Minnesota racing record.
Rhone started the hot streak in race two with Killarney Gold and followed with Mona Lisa Lady in race three, A Wheaties Girl in race four, and Kaschmir in race six.
Rhone won his fifth race of the night in dramatic fashion when long shot Belle American rallied up the rail to win the eighth race at odds of 19-1.
In the night's ninth and final race, Rubiano's Flag won by a length and a half and provided Rhone with his sixth win of the night.
Rhone, who won the Canterbury training title in 1996, trailed defending champion David Van Winkle by four wins, down 26-22, going into Thursday's card. He took a 28-26 lead.
