Champion sprinter and millionaire Artax was represented by his first winner when Friendly Michelle won Aug. 10 at Del Mar at 5 1/2 furlongs, scoring by 6 1/2 lengths in 1:03.98. Bred by Ronald Fein, the filly races for Ed Friendly and Mike Foster. Artax (Marquetry -- Raging Apalachee, by Apalachee) stands at the Taylor family's Taylor Made Farm near Nicholasville, Ky.
