Wilson Passes Rudy Baez, Now 19th All Time

With two victories on Saturday's Laurel Park card, jockey Rick Wilson moved ahead of Rudy Baez for the 19th spot on the all-time win list with career win 4,876. Baez retired with 4,875.

Maryland-based Mario Pino is 18th on the all-time list with 5,223 victories and is within striking distance of passing both Ronald Ardoin (5,226) and Jacinto Vasquez (5,228) for the 16th spot.

Wilson, who turns 50 on Aug. 12, leads Ryan Fogelsonger by one win for the top spot in the summer meet standings with 16 first place finishes. He was aboard winners King Carlos in the 5th ($4.40) and Julie's Luck ($5.20) in the 10th.
