Graded stakes winner Roman Dancer, along with Bright Cat and Nunzio, will stand in 2005 at Lois Engel's Pucker Ridge Farm near Warrensburg, N.Y.
Roman Dancer was one of the fastest 2-year-olds of 2001. His 107 Beyer Speed Figure in winning the six-furlong Sunny Slope Stakes in 1:08.66 at Santa Anita was bettered by only one other runner. As a 3-year-old, Roman Dancer won the Bay Shore (gr. III) and San Pedro Stakes and was second in the San Miguel Stakes (gr. III). He retired with four wins from a dozen starts and earnings of $269,329 from three seasons of racing.
A 5-year-old son of Polish Numbers, Roman Dancer is a half-brother to stakes winner I'm All Yours and is out of the Cormorant mare Phalanopsis. His fee is $3,500.
Six-year-old Bright Cat, by Tabasco Cat out of graded stakes-placed Chandelier (by Majestic Light), won or placed in five of 21 starts. He is a half-brother to graded stakes winner Queen of Money and will stand for $3,000.
Nunzio, a 7-year-old son of Holy Bull, won or placed in nine of 15 starts and earned $117,188. He is out of the Seeking the Gold mare Paradisa and will stand for $1,500. He formerly stood at Metropolitan Stud in New York.
