Jockey Edgar Prado had a tough choice to make leading up to last Sunday's $1-million Haskell Invitational: Stay on Sky Mesa, whom he had ridden in all of the colt's four starts, including three wins, or take the opportunity to ride Peace Rules, trained by America's hottest trainer, Bobby Frankel.

"It was a very tough decision to make," Prado said of having to choose between the two 3-year-olds for the Haskell. "Both have tremendous ability. I have had a lot of luck with Bobby Frankel."

Prado jumped on the Frankel bandwagon, and rode Peace Rules to a 1 3/4-length victory over Sky Mesa.

Now, with Peace Rules going West for the Pacific Classic at Del Mar on Aug. 24, Prado will be back on Sky Mesa for the Aug. 23 Travers Stakes at Saratoga, according to trainer John Ward Jr.

A son of Pulpit racing for John Oxley, $750,000 yearling sale purchase Sky Mesa has three wins and two placings in five starts and has earned $633,076.
