Multiple stakes winner Stormy Jack has been purchased by a partnership for stallion duty at Gary and Marlene Howard's Hideaway Farm near San Jacinto, Calif. The 6-year-old son of Bertrando, who will be standing his first season, is priced at $2,500.

Campaigned as a homebred for Jack and Florence Arnold, Stormy Jack was a stakes winner in three of his four years of racing. His added-money wins, all at Del Mar or Hollywood Park, came in the Real Good Deal and I'm Smokin Stakes, plus the On Trust Handicap and a division of the Oceanside Stakes on grass. Stormy Jack, who was produced from the Steelinctive mare Tiny Kristin, captured eight of 21 starts and earned $596.673.
