Domestic Dispute Pointed Toward West Virginia Derby

Santa Catalina Stakes (gr. II) winner Domestic Dispute has been added to the list of definite starters for Saturday's $600,000 West Virginia Derby (gr. III) at Mountaineer Race Track & Gaming Resort. Trainer Patrick Gallagher said Alex Solis would have the mount.

The list of West Virginia Derby confirmed starters is up to nine. Besides Domestic Dispute other starters include: grade II winner Soto (Ramon Dominguez); the grade III winner Dynever (Edgar Prado); Queen's Plate runner-up Mobil (Jorge Chavez); Delta Downs Jackpot winner Outta Here (Kent Desormeaux); multiple stakes winner Supah Blitz (Cornelio Velasquez); Cat Singer (Hector Rosario) and Lone Star Sky (John McKee); and graded stakes-placed Coax Kid (Jason Lumpkins).

Entries close at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday and the post-position draw will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday.
