Reel Buddy, who won the Sussex Stakes (Eng-I) at Goodwood last week in what could have been the final group I victory for retiring legendary jockey Pat Eddery, is likely to be sent to stud in Ireland, according to his trainer, Richard Hannon.

In his finest moment, Reel Buddy tagged Statue of Liberty by a head at the wire of the Sussex, sparking an emotional scene for Eddery in the winner's circle.

"There have been a few inquiries and now he's got his Group 1 it makes sense to call it quits," Hannon told the Racing Post. "There is nothing concrete about the location as yet, but I would think he will be going to Ireland."
