Viewed as too valuable, Mutakddim won't be shuttling to Argentina from John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farm near Lexington. The syndicated son of Seeking the Gold is represented by nine 2003 stakes winners, including recent Test Stakes (gr. I) winner Lady Tak and a pair of Argentine group I winners.
"We are delighted at the outstanding job that Haras La Quebrada has done in managing Mutakddim's Southern Hemisphere career," Sikura said. "We feel that with the level of success Mutakddim is enjoying that he is just too valuable and therefore have decided to keep him permanently in Kentucky."
Mutakddim, who was produced from the Seattle Slew mare Oscillate, stood the 2003 season for $6,500. His 2004 stud fee has not been determined.
