Kris S., already the sire this year of Vodafone Derby winner Kris Kin, was represented today at England's "Glorious" Goodwood by Veuve Clicquot Vintage Stakes (Eng-II) winner Lucky Story.Lucky Story was bred by WinStar Farm, which has already received enormous publicity this year as the breeder of Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Preakness Stakes (gr. I) winner Funny Cide.Kris S. stood at WinStar until his death in 2002.Lucky Story is trained by Mark Johnston, who indicated races such as the Dewhurst and Racing Post (both Eng-I) would be on the 2-year-old colt's agenda.Lucky Story races for Abdullah Buhaleeba after being purchased as a yearling by Gainsborough Stud for $95,000 at last year's Keeneland September sale. Lucky Story has now won three of four career starts.The Aidan O'Brien colts The Mighty Tiger and Devil Moon ran second and third. The winner won by 1 1/4 lengths and covered the seven furlongs in 1:27.95.
