Mud Route Yearling Colt Tops Idaho Mixed Sale

American Mud, a yearling colt by the Strawberry Road stallion Mud Route, brought the top price of $7,750 at the Idaho Thoroughbred Association (ITA) mixed sale on July 25. Produced from the 10-year-old winning Pumpkin Moonshine mare Soonermoon, American Mud was purchased by Jim Grigsby from the colt's breeder, Fred Maul.

The ITA reported that 44 lots (including one mare and weanling package) of the 71 offered were sold for a gross of $76,950. The average was $1,749. The auction's offerings included several Quarter Horses.
