McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, the Saratoga Springs, New York birthplace of Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner Funny Cide, is offering scheduled tours in response to public interest in the farm. One-hour tours are available at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. every day except Tuesdays until Sept. 1. Visitors will see where Funny Cide and other McMahon horses were born and raised. Tour admission is free for children under 5, $3 for children between 5 and 16 and for senior citizens, and $5 for adults. The farm said a portion of the proceeds will benefit Thoroughbred charities... Maria's Mirage set a course record by covering five furlongs in 55.06 seconds on the Del Mar turf Monday while leading all the way in winning the $59,000 allowance/optional claiming feature race by 9 1/2 lengths over Ragin T. The win was the fifth in 12 lifetime starts for the 4-year-old daughter of Maria's Mon and was worth $35,400.
