Padua Stables' Proud Accolade, winner of the seven-furlong Hutcheson Stakes (gr. II) earlier this year, seeks to get back on track after overcoming an illness in Saturday's $100,000 Rushaway Stakes at Turfway Park. The 1 1/16-mile race is part of Lane's End Stakes (gr. II) day at the northern Kentucky track.
Proud Accolade, a grade I winner at 2 after knocking down the Champagne Stakes, missed his next scheduled start in the March 12 Louisiana Derby (gr. II) according to trainer Todd Pletcher. A son of Yes It's True
, out of the Septieme Ciel mare Proud Ciel, Proud Accolade fired off a 1:00 five furlong work last Sunday at Palm Meadows Training Center.
