Santos Appeals 10-Day Suspension

Jockey Jose Santos received a 10-day suspension from the New York state Racing and Wagering Board steward for careless riding in the sixth race Wednesday.
Santos's horse, Light Night, bore out in the stretch and interfrerred with Sohaib, ridden by Jerry Bailey. Light Night finished first but was disqualified and placed second. Santos appealed the suspension and received a stay.
