Veteran stallion Believe It, who finished third to Affirmed and Alydar in the 1978 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Preakness Stakes (gr. I), will be relocated to John Sykes' Cloverleaf Farms II near Reddick, Fla., for the 2001 breeding season. Believe It (In Reality -- Breakfast Bell, by Buckpasser) stood the past breeding season at Russ and Shelda Sherrod's R Bar S Stallions near Opelousas, La., and will remain the property of the farm. The 25-year-old stallion has sired 28 stakes winners and is the broodmare sire of champion and dual classic winner Real Quiet. His fee will be $3,000 live foal.

R Bar S Stallions also will send Mr. Shawklit and Imperial Falcon to Cloverleaf. A graded stakes winner, 9-year-old Mr. Shawklit (Afleet -- Shawklit, by Groshawk) will stand for $2,000 live foal. Imperial Falcon (Northern Dancer -- Ballade, by Herbager) will stand for $1,000 live foal. He has sired nine stakes winners and is a half-brother to champions Glorious Song and Devil's Bag and to prominent young sire Saint Ballado.
