Carry My Colors, Brushed On to Clermont

Aqueduct track-record holder Carry My Colors and graded stakes-placed Brushed On will enter stud at Thomas Cunningham and partners' Clermont Farm near Germantown, N.Y. Four-year-old Carry My Colors (Roanoke -- Miss Cover Girl, by Oh Say) will stand for $3,500 live foal. Five-year-old Brushed On (Broad Brush -- Monoprint, by Conquistador Cielo) will stand for $2,000 and is being syndicated.
Carry My Colors set a 1:38.92 track record for a mile and 70 yards over the inner dirt at Aqueduct this year. He was retired with four wins from 11 races and earnings of $146,480.
Brushed On, a full brother to stakes winner Brush Over, won 10 of 37 races and earned $393,314. His seven stakes-placings included a runner-up effort in the Gravesend Handicap (gr. III) and a third-place finish behind Kelly Kip and Artax in the Bold Ruler Handicap (gr. III).
Clermont also announced that 21-year-old Shadowmar will stand at the farm in 2001. A multiple stakes winner, Shadowmar (Pontoise -- Cautious Fairy, by Neptune) formerly stood at Center Brook Farm near Climax, N.Y.
