Grade II winner Crafty Friend came through with his initial winner when his son Longgonetrevorsean won July 9 at Hollywood Park in his first start. Bred by Columbiana Farm, the colt won at five furlongs in :58.96 for Ernest J. Powell. Crafty Friend (Crafty Prospector -- Companionship, by Princely Native) stands at Rick Trontz' Hopewell Farm near Midway, Ky.
