Duke of Roxburghe's Attraction continued her dominance over the 2-year-old filly division in Europe with an impressive five-length triumph in Tuesday's Chippenham Lodge Cherry Hinton (Eng-II) at Newmarket, England.
The juvenile daughter of Efisio -- Flirtation (by Pursuit of Love) tracked the leaders before being pushed to the lead along the rail with two furlongs remaining in the six-furlong test. Ridden by Kevin Darley, Attraction completed the six furlongs over good to firm grass in 1:11.1. Pearl Grey, a British-bred daughter of Gone West, finished second, a length in front of previously undefeated Birthday Suit (by Daylami).
Trained by Mark Johnston, Attraction became the first filly since Forest Flower in 1986 to win both the Cherry Hinton and the Queen Mary Stakes, which Attraction won in impressive fashion at Royal Ascot last month. Previously, the filly accounted for wins at Nottingham, Thirsk, and Beverley racecourses.
