Millenary Wins Princess of Wales's Again

Millenary, wearing blinkers for the first time, won the group II Princess of Wales's Stakes at Newmarket today. The 6-year-old son of Rainbow Quest won the same race last year.

Owned by L. Neil Jones and trained by John Dunlop, Millenary was ridden by Pat Eddery. Settled near the back of the pack early as Zindabad led, Eddery pushed Millenary toward the front with two furlongs left to run in the 1 1/2-mile race. He covered the distance in 2:27.06.

Bandari, who was always near the front, finished second, followed by Gamut and Bollin Eric.
