Trainer Frank Generazio Jr. has high hopes for the 3-year-old colt Don Six, who carries the family colors in Friday's $100,000 Jersey Shore Breeders' Cup Stakes (gr. III) at six furlongsat Monmouth Park."Wait'll you see him," Generazio said enthusiastically. "He's a magnificent-looking horse, black and shiny."The colt drew the rail in a seven-horse field for the July 4 feature and will be ridden by Abdiel Toribio.Don Six, a son of Wild Escapade, is out of the Concorde Bound mare Concorde's Beauty, which is all Generazio breeding. However, tragedy hit the family two weeks ago when the mare was struck by lightning on the farm in Florida and died."Her first foal was Stacy Tracy, who earned more than $300,000," Generazio said. "It's quite a loss."Don Six, named for a family friend in Florida, will be making his Monmouth debut in the Jersey Shore. Unstarted as a 2-year-old, he came out running at 3, breaking his maiden and winning an allowance at Aqueduct during the winter. In his first stakes outing, the colt ran second to the highly regarded Halo Homewrecker in the Bay Shore (gr. III), then finished fourth behind Spite the Devil in the Withers (gr. III).He will be shortening up again Friday after winning a stakes and finishing seventh in a graded stakes at 1 1/16 mile."I hope he breaks good," Generazio said. "That's all I ask Friday."Mt. Carson, winner of the Hirsch Jacobs at Pimlico May 17, as well as Gators N Bears and speedster Only the Best, second and third, respectively, in the same race, line up as the other leading contenders in the Jersey Shore.Jersey Shore Breeders' Cup Stakes (gr.
