Edmond and Sharon Hudon will relocate their stallions Surachai and Stage Colony to Doug Arnold's Buck Pond Farm near Versailles, Ky.
The two stallions, whose fees will be announced later, formerly stood at Ballena Vista Farm near Ramona, Calif.
Surachai, a 12-year-old son of Slewpy out of the Don B. mare Corvettin, won four stakes and was grade II stakes-placed on his way to earning $680,963. He stood in 2005 for $3,500. He has sired several winners.
Stage Colony, a multiple graded stakes winner, has sired 15 runners that have won or placed in stakes. They include multiple stakes winners Black Bart and Stage Player as well as South African champion Colonial Girl. Stage Colony, an 18-year-old son of Pleasant Colony out of the Stage Door Johnny mare Meteor Stage, stood in 2005 for $1,000.
The Hudons keep more than 30 of their mares at their Sierra Farm near Lexington. The relocation of Stage Colony and Surachai will allow the mares easier access to the two stallions.
