InCompass, the leading supplier of program pages to simulcast sites across North America, has expanded its Simo-Central service to offer simulcast race programs for North American racing in Spanish.
Brad Kimbrell, InCompass vice president of sales, said the Spanish simulcast program service would benefit racetracks and wagering outlets in the Caribbean and Central and South America licensed to simulcast North American Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse races, as well as domestic tracks and wagering outlets with a need to supply programs to Spanish-speaking customers.
"The introduction of Spanish simulcast programs on Simo-Central enables simulcast facilities throughout the Western Hemisphere to tailor the presentation of simulcast program information to their customers," Kimbrell said in a release. "Serving the information needs of the Spanish-speaking markets will help drive handle on North American Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing, which will benefit the domestic racing industry as well as the industry in the markets in which wagers are placed."
Simo-Central is InCompass' centralized gateway for racetracks and simulcast outlets to produce their own customized simulcast race programs. The Spanish simulcast programs include all the statistics contained in InCompass' traditional simulcast programs, including recaps; indexes on owners, trainers, and horses; and statistical pages. The format is identical to that of InCompass' most popular program layout and will soon be offered in additional formats.
Kimbrell said Portuguese would be added in the near future. InCompass, he said, has the ability to add other foreign languages as market demand increases.
