Del Mar Showing Classic Movies

Del Mar will show a racing film on Sunday nights on the big screen in the track's paddock. The "Del Mar Goes to the Movies" series is free and includes a bag of popcorn.

The film schedule consist of "Phar Lap on July 27," "A Day at the Races on Aug. 3," "Let It Ride, on Aug. 10" "The Black
Stallion on Aug. 17," and "It Ain't Hay on Sept. 7."

The track will also premier a "sneak preview" of a racing documentary based on a year's worthy of filming at the barn of trainer Richard Mandella by award-winning filmmakers Bill Yahraus and Robin Rosenthal on Aug. 31.

Del Mar's 43-day season opens July 23 and runs through Sept. 10. Racing is conducted every day of the week but Tuesdays.
