In Tuesday barn notes from Churchill Downs, trainer Steve Asmussen confirmed that Winchell Thoroughbreds has reached an agreement to sell half-interest in Kentucky Breeders' Cup (gr. III) winner Cuvee.

The purchasing party and the price were not revealed as the agreement has yet to be finalized.

Cuvee is undefeated in two career start. He broke his maiden by six lengths going 4 1/2 furlongs on May 2 at Churchill Downs and followed that effort with an eight-length win in the May 26 Kentucky Breeders' Cup.

Winchell bred the son of Carson City from the Star de Naskra mare Christmas Star.
