(Edited press release)
Davant Latham is leaving Darby Dan Farm near Lexington and is opening his own bloodstock and insurance agency, Davant Latham Bloodstock and Insurance or DLBI. Latham served as the Director of Bloodstock Services for the past 3 years.
"I have enjoyed my time with Darby Dan and am proud of our accomplishments over the last few years," Latham said. "John Phillips and Wayne Sweezy are good friends and we plan to continue our business relationship."
Latham's previous positions include general manager of Vinery, Kirk Horse Insurance Associate, and independent bloodstock agent.
"Opening DLBI will allow me to focus on my bloodstock and insurance work, particularly in the development of commercial partnerships," he said. "I look forward to continuing old relationships and building new relationships as well."
Latham will serve as the president of the Kentucky Farm Managers Club in 2007 and is a past president and current board member of the High Hope Steeplechase.
